Hola!
The open is officialy over! I get to go back to training normal again! Yay!
13.5 was a blast! 4 minutes of 30 thrusters and 16 chest to bar pull ups! Not bad! Not bad! I'm happy about that result, I wanted a score of 30 and ended up with 46! Woot
Now, it's the road to regionals for a bunch of people, individual and TEAM!!! And I can't wait to see my friends train hard and work their asses off!
And now, for me, it's time to get ready for 2014! There will be no regionals for me this year, even though I was offered an amazing opportunity. With my open scores, I am in the top athletes at the gym, who could make it onto the YUL team. Unfortunately the friday of the regionals, is my last practical exam at school. And if I don't show up, I would fail my semester and not become a nurse... Now that would suck. So I'm going to be a smart and wise child, and I have decided that I would be YUL's number one fan instead!!! Right after my exam, I'll drive up and cheer my favourite team and favourite individual athletes for the entire weekend!
I can't wait!!!!
For now, I'm working really hard on my weaknesses, such as all gymnastic movements and my cardio, because my little heart needs to be a better stronger muscle. I'm doing lot's of skill work when I'm tired! And I'm dedicating lots of my time on things I never really worked on before.
Last year, after the open, I wanted to be better. And today I can tell you, that I am officially a better athlete. Even though I have my flaws, my big weaknesses, they aren't as bad as when I first started crossfit. And I'm very happy about that. One step at a time!
I love crossfit so much.
Congrats to Danielle Goldman, you have worked so hard and you made it to regionals! I know you are going to kick some ass! Hard work does fuckin pay off!!!!
Congrats to Mike Deboever, your programming has been efficient in so many ways. This is definatly not your last year for a shot at regionals! Your getting wiser (says the white hair) and stronger! Your going to impress some people! Go kill it!
Congrats to Charles Felx-Leduc, hard work, dedication, and sweat brings big results (52 world wide!!)! You are one step closer to the games my friend, your ultimate goal! Keep doing what you do, I love your determination!
You three are our spirit at YUL, and we are all so very proud of you!!!
Now, it's time for me to start training seriously. No more " it's not my year for regionals". I have plans for myself and goals that I want to achieve. And I need to believe that what I want is possible, and that no matter what comes along the way, I'll be able to do it anyways. More dirty training, more clean eating, more specific resting and less talking and less writing (shorter blogs) (not no more blogs) I am now prioritizing my life. Does that make sense to you ?
Okay, I know you all know about my future husband being a very hot bad ass, but here is a video of him doing 13.5, holy molly! Just listen to his breaths! It's amazing. I love him.
Enough now.
Spread the love, Share this post
