Story telling

Hello there!

This week, I have stories for you!

Being Weak sucks. And that's a fact. And knowing your weak, sucks even more.

Here's the story.

Patty decided we were going running this past weekend. Yeah, running. Yes there is still snow on the ground. I admit it, it wasn't very cold out, but it's still winter.

So our workout was 3 rounds of 500m row, and 1 km run.

The workout sucked the entire time. I dislike running very much, and it's probably because I suck at it so much. After my first round I told myself I would stop after the second round, just because I didn't feel like it. I wanted to walk. I wanted to give up. I wanted to yell at Patty, who by the way, really seemed to be enjoying this workout. I wanted to stop.

I did all three rounds! And felt way better when it was done. Not a happy camper.

But, I will just put it out there, working on your weaknesses isn't fun, but when your done with them, you feel good... or you feel like you actually did something with your life. No kidding, my lungs were burning! In the end, I thank Patty for making me do this!

And then, I wanted to feel better, so I worked on something I truly love: SNATCHES! And yes, I did PR! hihihihi!!!! I'm super HAPPY! I get to check another one of my goals... do you remember them ? I do!  So I got my 125# snatch PR! And I'm very very very happy about it ! Here's a video. It's probably one of the ugliest snatches out there! I'm sorry I've disappointed you for the ugliest snatch, but it's still a snatch ! And excuse me for the uncentered video... Steve!!!!!!!!! Jesus, my videos suck balls... Remember my OHS video? How embarrassing! I'll need to go pro soon! Why did I use the word Snatch so much?



Here's another story:

I was training at this gym that I will not name... not a crossfit gym. And I was doing split jerks! Everything was going fine, really good, I was feeling good, and then I got to my one RM, 145# witch I hit just last week. All was good. I Split that shit, and missed, couldn't go under the bar. So obviously I can't rack the barbell back on my shoulders and I'm trying to hold it back because I'm in a rack and I don't want to make to much noise... because that would be very disturbing, in a gym... And then some woman, who is doing... ok no I won't judge, but this woman legit yells at me, and tells me I'm making to much noise. Seriously woman?? I'm obviously trying to hold the bar back down and I obviously didn't drop it on purpose and your saying I'm making to much noise... Thanks for your help.
I almost threw my barbell at her. Arggggg Glad, that's off my chest!

Story number 3:

The open. 6 days away. I hope I am ready. Looking back on the year that's gone by, I know I've improved, I know I've gotten better at many different movements, and I know I am stronger at certain things. But I also feel like there are so many things I should be able to do better. But oh am I excited. I'm not scared anymore. I'm excited to see what the first workout is going to be. I'm excited about the whole thing!!!!!! My oh my!!! Now all I need to do for the next 6 days is relax, not get hurt and enjoy my training. I'll try and not get to emotional about not getting PRs and stuff this week. I have been checking stuff off my list and that makes me happy! Even if I don't get all of them checked off before march 6th, I'll be happy to have worked on stuff I "never" had time to practice or even do. I know I'm not off to regionals this year, but this is really going to show me once again, what I have to work on.

Story number 4:

Maximillian, my new french friend is quite silly!! But he is also very good at crossfit, and new to it, witch makes him even cooler! I remember him when he was still pretty fresh at the gym. He saw me  PR my clean! Anywho, that's not the story. The story is that this kid actually wants to learn. He want's to be there! And guess what, he's been improving a shit lot! And he is still pretty young, so keep your eyes open people, Max is growing up!!!

Story number 5:

I almost broke my arm doing one hand kettle bell snatches. That was fun... and heavy!

Story number 6:

We are practising muscle ups! I'm hoping to get one before my birthday in 2013! I'm really hoping!

Story number 7:

I am in love with a food blogger named Juli Bauer. She is absolutely amazing and honestly I sometimes wish I could be her, or her best friend, so she can make me food. First off she's hot. Second, she is an amazing crossfitter, and third she cooks amazing paleo food and is the owner of PALEOMG. She comes up with the best simple ideas for super yummy healthy paleo recipes. I love her so much! And She liked one of my pictures this week, witch is totally unimaginable. Yes ! I made her pancakes, witch were absolutly amazing, and well took a picture of it and PALEOMG liked it! That's pretty damm straight up awesome! wootwoot
