FireBreather

Sup!

Have you ever had that feeling? When you feel like your breathing fire? When you feel like you can't breathe anymore? When your gasping for air? When there is no position you feel comfortable in?

I have, many times. At crossfit.

Firebreather
Every time I go to crossfit competitions, all I want to do is work harder, lift more, and become a super ninja monkey on the rig! That's all I want to do!

Once again, I was sitting on the other side of the fence today, on the bleachers, watching all these amazing athletes doing their thang at the firebreather! It's nerve racking, just watching them. It's ridiculous because I'm not doing anything, they are the ones breathing fire, not me. I'm just cheering, yelling and losing my voice.

I didn't want to compete, I really didn't. But I had this little feeling deep down in my gut that I wished I was on the other side, with Dee, competing against these amazing girls. One day, hopefully, I will be competing with the big league.

Here's the thing, I know I've said this before, but I say it again; I love going to crossfit competitions.
Because of the girls that walk around there.... WOAH! Shit. They are hot. Every one of them has muscular legs, broad shoulders, calves to die for, abs.... I don't even know what to say about their abs. These ladies are so dayum sexy, I just love it. It always makes me feel good when I'm at these competitions, I feel like I belong, like I'm normal with my huge legs and big ass. I fit in(minus the sick abs). It's such a great feeling! And it helps to love your body! Confidence flows through the air during crossfit competitions!

I have not even spoken of the guys yet. I don't even think I'm going to go there today, I will keep that discussion for some other day when I have nothing to write about. Because there is alot to say about these sexy, sweaty men working out... A whole damm lot! Pictures to come, stay tuned.

Speaking of sweaty people.... Congratulation to my friends Mike Deboever, Danielle Goldman, Charles Felx-Leduc and my brother Marc Andre Geoffrion. You guys rocked it at the firebreather today. So impressed.

Danielle, you proved a lot of people what you were made of.  You Made it through three gruelling WODS, kept your focus, had fun, and showed us, you truly are our best athlete at the box! I am so honoured that you are my training partner, but mostly my friend. I'm so proud. Keep up the good work. And believe in yourself, you are much stronger then you think!

My chick Bad, Dee! Love you Girl! So proud!
Mike, holy balls. I don't think I have been this impressed in a while. I have seen you train, I have seen you give it your all in workouts, I know your good... scratch that, great. I know you're determined, focused and passionate. But today, you showed me that you are awesome. You were a dragon breathing fire today. You showed your entire community that dreams do come true when you work hard. You wanted this, you got this, and you killed it. You PR'd and you did pistols dude! You had a smile on your face the entire day, and you did exactly what you had to do. YUL is proud to say you coach us everyday. YUL is proud to say we know you. YUL is proud to say Mike Deboever, yeah he's the shit. YUL is PROUD.

Mike, being a dragon!
Charles. Je ne sais même pas où commencer. You impress me every single day. The way you're calm on competition days scare me. You're in your element. This is what you do. You are the best crowd pleaser I know. I'd even say a bit cocky, but everybody loves you. You showed Canada, once again, how strong you are, and that you belong in the game. You PR'd. YUL is proud of you. YUL loves you. You make us so damm proud. Keep working hard, I know deep down that you will do great, so does everybody else for that matter. I just watched your video of your new PR snatch, I have goose bumps, mon petit Charles. Now, don't forget about your weaknesses, and try and keep your 2 feet on earth. Keep killing it! I admire you.

Charles, Famous! Remember the name!
Marc Andre, Broski, Brah Brah, Geoff, brother, I love you. I was the happiest, proudest little sister today. For a little guy, your not bad. You impress me. I look up to you everyday. And today, you showed me why. With practise, determination, patience and hard work, you accomplish things you never thought possible. Your form is impeccable. Your reps are legit. You are, to me, the best. I wish I had a little bit of what you have. I aspire to be just like you, and have been since I was a little girl. You push me to be better, you push me to be greater. You teach me every single day, even though sometimes I pretend I don't listen. You truly inspire me, and I'm the proudest baby girl sister ever! Especially when you PR!!

These are just the YUL competitors I'm talking about. I don't even want to talk about the others, that always seem to be getting better, bigger, fitter, stronger.  The boys are lifting heavier, the girls are moving faster. It's ridiculous how this sport of fitness has evolved and how athletes are born. Congratulations to every single athlete that competed with heart and passion today, you are an inspiration to all and I am sure you all breathed fire today. Impressive performance by all! Keep up the hard work and I will see you next year, on the other side of the fence!

To my YUL community, friends, family and athletes.

Holy balls.

Once again, you showed the crossfit world, that we are one big ass happy family. I never heard such loud cheers, for every single one of our athletes. It was awesome. Seriously. A-ma-zing. I had chills just seeing us there. Everybody was happy, sitting and cuddling together. It's pretty cool to be apart of this family. Overwhelming. I love it. Please, never stop!!! This awesome picture from Pat Labelle proves it!

If this isn't awesome, I don't know what is. YUL community at its best!
This is weird, I'm wearing the same hat in my profile picture and cover photo. I just realized. Oh life!

Who is ready to go H.A.M. this week after viewing the Firebreather competition? All I want to do is step up my game! How about you? Maybe you should try crossfit?

Spread the love, Share this post
