You know how they ask the eldery to stay inside on days like we just had, because it's probable that you can die... Well I was walking home from the job yesterday and almost passed out it was so damm hot, humid and the air was so heavy! Nobody should be outside in this heat!
Then I had to go workout. I was pretty thankful that I wasn't off to the gym for some crossfit. Because I don't know if I would have survived the day! Barely made it through my program yesterday!

Anywho, I love rain storms, especially heat storms like we had! It's so pretty and when everyone else is freaking out about the rain, the thunder and the lightning, I really just like to look at the sky! Beautiful!
Ok on to things more serious. Mikko Salo being injured sucks ass. I legit had some tears when I saw the news. Injury a week and a half before the games is really not cool. All the effort that he's had to put in over the last two years.. yes two years of hard work, sacrifices and lot's of time spent in recovery, just gone. And this was suppose to be his come back year, a come back to competition from a ruptured eardrum in 2011 and a knee surgery in 2012! All gone. I wish him a speedy recovery and honestly I don't know if he will be back. I want him to be back of course, he's an amazing athlete with raw strength and amazing determination... actually I wouldn't be surprised if came back next year! All the best Mikko! Love you man!
But injuries suck and you really do have to listen to your body. I mean it's cute now that you can still "perform" at a certain level and endure the pain and push the limits, but what about when you're 50, or 85? I still want to be able to walk. Trust me, I see enough older people that could be in perfectly good shape but just didn't take care of themselves and they end up in the hospital... Not cool. So please, athletes of this world I know you want to be the best, who doesn't ? But please listen to your body, take your rest days, stretch, ice, take another rest day, warm up longer then you want to, do physio once in a while, go see Sean Landry the best chiropractor in this city once in a while for a good tune up! Think about the future. I want to be running around with my grandchildren in 50 years from now! Think about quality of life!

Alright I'm just going to tell everyone, so that everybody stops bothering me about it! I am no longer Paleo for now! There, I said it! Why? Because I'm gaining weight right now! Yeah, to lift more weights! Wooooohooooo! So can you please stop judging! Jeeezzzz
I love doing pull-ups! I really truly do! I think it may be because a year and half ago I just couldn't do them and never in my life would I have thought that I would be able to do them! Thanks Crossfit!
