Let me just start off by saying : WOW! I never thought I would get this much support for this crazy idea I had!! So once again Thank you all it means sooooooo dammmm much! Y'ALL AMAZING!
Secondly: do not worry, it's not because I am no longer doing crossfit that there will no longer be a blog post every thursday ! Guys, com on... I'm a loser and I love this kind of shit! Hopefully you still love my blog even if I'm not writing about crossfit!!! Because crossfitters only like to talk about crossfit! Trust me, I know!
SOOOOOO let's talk WEIGHTLIFTING!!!!! YES?! OKAY!
I'm really excited to tell you all about it! And I've only been doing it for like 2 weeks! It's exciting and fun and NEW!!
So, you know when you finish a WOD, and your exhausted ? Yes ?! and you can barely shift gears in your car? Or wash your hair because you're so sore? Yeah! Well in weightlifting, in the last two weeks, legit all I have been doing is snatches, clean& jerks and squats (Front and back). And I'm NOT sore! Odd, yes very! But I like it... I can actually go to bed with my hair smelling nice now! That's pretty awesome!
It's not that weightlifting isn't hard... It's freeking intense! I'm at the gym for 2 to 3 hours 5 times a week. If you don't think that's intense... You're OFF! Anywho, when you train for that long you get tired! Sometimes I just want to skip my squats and go home and sleep. But then Ben gives me that look... And I crossfit my squats away! It's all about the nervous system!!! It's cray cray!
Here is something I never could do in crossfit... Do math! haha! sounds stupid but when I was wodding and doing AMRAP or whatever I always used chips to count and all the weights were in pounds. Now I have to count my weight because it's all in kilos.... Oh man! It's really hard! I'm no genius at math! I didn't know 55kg was just the blue plates and that I couldn't just use the yellow plus the little white ones... Everything is just so new to me!
Weightlifting shoes are fucking great! I love them. Like a lot!
We rest a lot in weightlifting... I do three lifts and then I rest between 2-3-5 minutes between my next set! It's crazy! And if I don't rest long enough.... that's a no no! Sorry, I'm used to crossfit! Working on it though!
People are so sweet! It's a community!!! And I like that! We all want everybody to lift well and heavy! It's sick! And everybody helps each other out!
Ok, remember when I told you I was a chalk whore? Yes?! I do! Anywho, at UPT crossfit, my new home... the chalk smells fucking awesome! it has this nice sweet little smell! I love it! mmmmm
Here's something funny, people at UPT still don't really know I dance ALL THE TIME! They'll get use to it... one day!!

Here's something that never happened to me before... When I snatch now, I have a contact point... just above my pubic bone! it's sickkkkkkk!!!!!! I'm super stocked about it! Little things in life make me happy!
I'm just starting to get to know this sport. And honestly, I like it! It's growing on me. I even signed up for my first OLY lifting competition... The Delli Fraine! August 24th here I come! You all better come check it out eh! This time I promise I won't be falling off rigs! I swear, I'll just be throwing weights over my head and standing up!!! Woot!
