Inspiration

Hola!

What a weekend! It was the In house competition at YUL. It was truly amazing. I love competitions, no jokes. The days are never ending and people are so stressed. It's superb!

I didn't compete, because I was judging. Judging is fun, but all I wanted to do all day was just lift weights and do the WODS. DAYUM. I love watching also. You see amazing things happening, such as Skylar who did 7 unbroken pull-ups, and I remember him one month ago not able to even do one! Jess getting her first pull-up ever, she has always been on the band! Patty Cakes that has been trying to get the kip right for the last year and got 7 unbroken kipping pull-ups. Lara, 17 years old, with so much drive, competing and getting stronger by the day. Stuart squat cleaning 215 pounds! And Pat, almost throwing up on the final WOD and finishing it even though he didn't have to. Max winning the men's RX when he only started crossfit during the holiday season. These people are amazing. If this isn't passion and inspiration, well we will need to redefine your definitions.

But to me, the ones that inspired me the most are the "masters". Shit. If I could look like these ladies when I'm their age, I know that I've made it in life.
Shelley, my god, you are one sexy, strong mama! And yes, your abs are to die for! You inspire me. Jodie, it was your first competition ever, and I am so proud to have a little something in common with you, you are such a passionate, dedicated and strong minded person and you are a NURSE! Oh and you can cook!!! I want to be just like you when I grow up. You totally rocked it!

SHELLEY!!!!!!

JODI!!!
And what can I say about the boys eh? If one day I ever meet somebody willing to  marry me, I want it to be someone like you guys: Rob, George, Ian. You just showed the world that no matter how old you are, you can still kill it. You are passionate, strong, dedicated and inspiring. You compete for fun and to push yourselves. You all did a great job. WOW. Congrats and keep killing the youngsters ! haha

ROB, such determination!!!
Thank you all for inspiring me a little more to keep doing what it is I do. Competing is easy, competing with heart and passion and fun is another story. And you MASTERS just showed me that it is possible and that it is what I want, when I start competing again. So Thanks once again, for showing us what crossfit is all about.
IAN!!!
I get alot of people telling me that crossfit is shitty and it doesn't work. But I can just tell them to come see my awesome Master friends workout, and I'd bet that they would kick their asses in any given WOD. Also, people seem to only see the GAMES as being and defining crossfit, witch is very false, crossfit is the community, crossfit is the friends we make, crossfit is the passion, it's the emotions, it's the MASTERS competing and doing things they never even thought of doing in their lives. That's what crossfit is. So instead of complaining and telling me and saying such bullshit about a sport you have never tried before, why don't you just come see for yourselves what my addiction is all about.
GEORGE!!!
Some people say it's excessive, some people say it's to much, some people say it's a disturbing obsession. Some people even told me I'm not living my life, I'm losing all my young years in the gym. But I think it's better to be doing crossfit, then drinking my soul every weekend or more then 3 times a week, or taking drugs, or being morbidly obese, or scary skinny with an eating disorder. And if being healthy means dying to you, then you have a problem. I am living my life, with a smile on my face, because I can do anything I want, whenever I want. I have no more limitations, no restrictions, the sky is the limit. Crossfit made me believe that there are no limits, anything is possible. Are you a belieber? (get it ?)

I am living my life.

I lost my voice, due to the competition. It's so great.

Spread the love, share this post.

xoxo
